Privacy policy
Effective 28 October 2026
Pulse is a daily tracker for water, habits, gym sessions and weight. It's built so that your data belongs to you: Pulse has no servers, no accounts of its own, no ads and no analytics.
Data stored on your phone
Everything you log — water, habits, workouts, weight, notes and settings — is saved in the app's private storage on your phone. Pulse's home-screen widget and reminders read the same data on the phone. None of it is sent to the developer.
Optional Google sign-in and sync
If you choose Sign in with Google, Pulse asks Google for permission to use one hidden folder in your Google Drive (the drive.appdata permission). With it, Pulse:
- stores one file,
pulse-data.json, containing your Pulse data, in a folder only Pulse can access. It can't see or change any of your other Drive files; - reads your Google account name and email address, only to show which account you're signed in with.
Your phone talks to Google directly. The data goes only to your own Google Drive and to other phones where you sign in to Pulse with the same account. The developer never receives it.
Notifications
Reminders are scheduled on your phone. No push service or server is involved.
Sharing
Pulse does not sell, share or transfer your data to anyone, and does not use it for advertising.
Pulse's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Deleting your data
- Settings → Erase all data deletes everything on the phone and, if you're signed in, in your synced Drive copy too.
- Sign out stops syncing on that phone.
- To remove Pulse's access to your Google account, go to myaccount.google.com/permissions. Uninstalling Pulse deletes the data stored on that phone.
Children
Pulse is not directed at children under 13.
